The self-contained motor is designed to help reduce operating noise and unnecessary weight. The motor is UL approved and can be installed or removed without dismantling the complete bed frame.

In the event of a power failure, a 9-volt battery located in the hand control can lower the head and foot sections multiple times without requiring a manual crank.

The headboard is taller than the footboard, allowing the bed to blend more naturally into a residential environment. Its wood-grain panels are designed to resist scratching and breakage during normal use.

The standard bed length is 80 inches. An optional extension kit, model 15030EXTKIT, can extend the length to 84 inches for users who require additional sleeping-surface space.
