Description

Drive Medical Med-Aire Melody Mattress

The Drive Medical Med-Aire Melody Mattress is an active mattress-replacement system combining alternating-pressure and low-air-loss technologies. Designed for home-care and long-term-care environments, it provides an 8-inch support surface with 20 individual air cells and adjustable patient settings.

This version, item 14026 uses a visual low-pressure alarm and supports users weighing up to 350 lb.

Active Pressure Redistribution

The Med-Aire Melody alternates pressure through individual air cells to help redistribute loading across the support surface. The system can also operate in static mode when continuous non-alternating support is required.

Alternating mode operates on a 10-minute cycle.

Twenty Individual Air Cells

Twenty air cells maximize the support surface’s ability to provide immersion and envelopment. A pillow feature provides additional support around the head area.

The 8-inch cells can be removed when service or replacement is required.

Adjustable Patient Settings

The control unit allows the support level to be adjusted according to patient weight and comfort requirements. This helps caregivers achieve an appropriate degree of immersion.

Low-Air-Loss Function

Low-air-loss functionality helps address moisture and microclimate at the support surface.

The removable nylon cover is fluid resistant, vapor permeable and designed to provide a low-shear surface.

Low-Pressure Alarm

Item 14026 includes a visual alarm to notify the caregiver when mattress pressure is low.

Drive also manufactures 14026-A, which includes both visual and audible alarms. Do not mix the two SKUs when creating this product.

CPR Valve and Quick Connections

A CPR valve permits rapid mattress deflation when required. The tubing uses a quick-release connection for easier installation and disconnection.
