The Drive Medical Bariatric Sentra EC Wheelchair is a heavy-duty manual wheelchair engineered to provide dependable mobility support for users requiring a higher weight capacity and a wider seating platform. This 20-inch version combines a durable carbon-steel frame, comfortable upholstery, adjustable seating geometry, and robust mobility components in a practical folding wheelchair design.
With a weight capacity of 450 lb, the Sentra EC is designed for users who need more structural support than a conventional manual wheelchair can provide.
The wheelchair uses a carbon-steel frame with a silver-vein powder-coated finish. This finish is designed to provide a durable, maintainable exterior while helping resist everyday chipping and wear.
Its reinforced construction supports a maximum user weight of 450 lb while retaining the familiar folding design of a manual wheelchair.
This specific configuration provides a 20″ wide x 18″ deep seat. Double-embossed vinyl upholstery offers a surface that is durable, relatively lightweight, attractive, and easier to clean than many fabric alternatives.
Padded armrests provide additional comfort while seated.
The selected STD20ECDDAHD-ELR configuration includes detachable desk-length arms and elevating leg rests. The elevating leg rests allow lower-leg positioning to be adjusted while the desk-style armrests make it easier to approach tables and other surfaces.
The rigging length can be adjusted without tools, and aluminum footplates provide durable lower-foot support.
A standard dual axle allows adjustment of the seat-to-floor height toward hemi-level positioning. This can help accommodate different users and mobility requirements.
The seat-to-floor height can be configured from approximately 17.5″ to 19.5″.
Polyurethane tires mounted on composite wheels provide a low-maintenance rolling system. The wheelchair also includes 8-inch front casters that can be adjusted among three positions.
Sealed precision bearings reduce maintenance requirements, while push-to-lock wheel locks provide a straightforward way to secure the wheelchair while stationary.
