Description
Human Care 1/2 Side Rails for FloorLine Beds
The Human Care 1/2 Side Rails are designed to provide added bedside support for compatible Human Care FloorLine healthcare beds. They may be used when a caregiver raises the bed to a practical working height and additional protection is required on the opposite side of the sleeping surface.
The half-length design provides support while keeping part of the bed accessible for transfers, repositioning, personal care, and caregiver assistance.
Compatible FloorLine Accessory
These side rails are designed for approved Human Care FloorLine models, including the FloorLine LTC North American wood-panel bed, article number 90607.
Only Human Care accessories approved for the exact bed model should be installed. Incompatible rails, mattresses, or accessories can create operating, stability, or entrapment hazards.
Raise-and-Lower Operation
The side rails can be raised or collapsed using the index-plunger release knob. To lower a rail, the release knob is pulled and the rail slides downward until it locks. To raise it, the release knob is pulled and the rail slides upward until it locks securely.
Always confirm that the rail is locked before use. Keep hands, clothing, bedding, and equipment clear of the moving rail because a pinch hazard exists while raising or lowering it.
Bed-Mounted Installation
The 1/2 side rails attach using left and right mounting brackets, knobs, screws, and nuts. For this model, the brackets are installed in the designated holes at the foot end of the compatible bed frame.
Installation should be completed by a person familiar with the Human Care instructions and the selected FloorLine bed.
Support for Care Environments
FloorLine beds can lower close to floor level, so side rails may not always be necessary. Human Care notes that they may be useful when the bed is raised to an ergonomic caregiver working height and support is required on the opposite side.
The need for side rails should be determined according to the userâs care plan, mattress configuration, mobility, and environment.

Safety and Compatibility Information
Use these rails only with compatible Human Care FloorLine models. Confirm compatibility with the exact bed, mattress, sleeping surface, and accessory configuration before installation.
Before every use, confirm that the rails are clean, secure, undamaged, and functioning correctly. Ensure that furniture, casters, hoists, cords, and other equipment cannot interfere with rail or bed movement.
When lowering the bed, position the casters so the side rails cannot contact or damage them. Human Care recommends inspecting the accessory with the FloorLine bed every six months.
