The Drive Full Electric Low Height Homecare Bed is designed to provide convenient powered positioning, a lower deck height, and dependable support for individuals receiving care at home. Its full-electric operation allows the head section, foot section, and overall bed height to be adjusted using an easy-to-use hand pendant.

The low-height design can support easier access and positioning when used according to an individual care plan. This bed is suitable for home care, recovery, rehabilitation, long-term support, and users who require adjustable positioning for sleeping, resting, reading, eating, or receiving caregiver assistance.

Full-Electric Positioning

The bed’s three-motor system provides powered adjustment of the head section, foot section, and overall frame height. The hand pendant allows the user or caregiver to make smooth positioning changes without manually adjusting the bed during normal powered operation.

The head and foot deck motors and height-adjustment motor come pre-installed on the foot section, helping reduce assembly requirements during setup.

Low-Height Configuration

The bed offers two caster configurations to support different deck-height requirements.

When configured to roll at any height, the deck adjusts from approximately 14.81 inches to 23 inches. When configured to roll only at the lowest height, the deck can lower to approximately 9.25 inches and rise to 23 inches.

The selected caster configuration should be determined during setup according to the user’s needs, environment, and manufacturer instructions.

Auto-Contour Positioning

The auto-contour function raises the head and foot sections together. This coordinated movement is designed to help reduce sliding and shearing while repositioning the user.

Auto-contour can also help maintain a comfortable seated position for reading, watching television, speaking with visitors, or receiving care without requiring the user or caregiver to adjust the foot section separately.

Strong and Lightweight Construction

The reinforced channel-frame construction provides strength while helping reduce unnecessary bed weight. The frame is designed to resist twisting and bending during normal approved use.

A zinc-coated spring deck provides long-lasting mattress support and is designed for everyday home-care environments. The bed weighs approximately 169 lb and ships in two cartons with a combined carton shipping weight of approximately 184 lb.

Home-Friendly Bed Ends

The heavy-duty bed ends feature durable moulded polyethylene covers designed to be attractive and easier to maintain. The headboard is taller than the footboard, helping the bed blend more naturally into a residential environment.

Colour-coded springs and installation labels help support the correct placement of compatible side rails.

Power-Failure Support

In the event of a power failure, the bed includes top-mounted high-low crank access and a manual crank override for adjusting the sleeping surface.

The manual override should be used only according to the manufacturer’s operating instructions.

Expandable and Compatible Design

The standard bed length is 80 inches. An optional extension kit, model 15005EXTKIT-L, can extend the bed length to 84 inches.

Compatible full-length and half-length side rails are available separately or as part of selected manufacturer packages. Mattresses and therapeutic support surfaces may also be purchased separately depending on the required configuration.

Warranty

The original-purchaser warranty includes a limited lifetime warranty on the welds, five years of coverage for the frame, motor, and pendant, and one year of coverage for other parts and components.

Safety and Compatibility Information

The 450 lb total weight capacity includes the user, mattress, rails, trapeze, accessories, personal belongings, and any other equipment placed on the bed. The maximum listed patient weight is 350 lb.

Use only a properly sized mattress, compatible side rails, and accessories approved for the selected bed configuration. Incorrect mattress or rail combinations may create safety and entrapment risks.
